How to use the app - full guide
Sign in with Google or create an account with your email. Your real name and email are never shown publicly - only your chosen username and avatar.
Pick a unique username (3-20 characters, letters and numbers only). This is how the world will know you on SHAKEaFLICK.
Choose from 350+ AI-generated avatars - warriors, professionals, animals, space, astrology signs, nature and more. This represents you on every flick.
Allow camera and microphone access so the app can record your flicks. Location is optional - only enable it if you want your city shown on your flicks.
The shake detection starts automatically when you open SHAKEaFLICK. You will see SHAKE TO RECORD on screen.
Give your phone a quick firm shake - like you are trying to get ketchup out of a bottle. Recording starts instantly with a vibration buzz.
The countdown timer shows how long is left. Recording stops automatically. You can also tap TAP TO STOP to end early.
After recording, choose what your flick is about: Music, Funny, Pets, Action, Nature, Food, Urban, or Random.
Tap Post Flick to share it with the world, or Don't Publish if you change your mind. Posted flicks appear in the public feed instantly.
If the app records too easily or not easily enough, go to Settings and adjust the shake sensitivity from Easy to Very Hard.
Set your recording length in Settings - 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, or 3 minutes 30 seconds (great for full songs).
The fastest way to start recording on iPhone — faster than any other social video app.
Long press any empty area on your iPhone home screen until the icons jiggle. Tap the + button in the top left corner. Search for SHAKEaFLICK. Select the widget size and tap Add Widget. Tap Done.

Never. Only your chosen username and avatar are visible to other users.
Yes - go to My Dashboard and you can manage your posted flicks.
The shake sensitivity may be set too low. Go to Settings and increase it to Hard or Very Hard.
Post great flicks! Viewers can send you coins from the feed. The better your content, the more coins you earn.
